Ready to dip your paddle into the world of water sports? Paddlesports are a fantastic way to get started on the water, helping you build confidence, improve fitness and have a whole lot of fun too!

With Loch Ryan’s calm, sheltered conditions and all the equipment you need provided, it’s easy to get started! We can help you balance on a SUP (Stand Up Paddleboard), navigate a kayak, or explore the water in a canoe. Book a taster session, grab a paddle and make a splash!

Getting Started: Equipment

  • Swim wear for under the wetsuit
  • Old footwear you don’t mind getting wet
  • A towel for afterwards

Introduction to Paddle Sports - Adults

An introduction to paddlesport, to include paddle boarding, kayaking and canoeing. You may choose to only paddle one craft, two or all three! Learn the basics, build your confidence and just enjoy being out on the water.

Tuesdays & Thursdays at 4pm. Our instructors will choose what activity we take part in depending on the weather conditions. One week we could be sailing, the next we could be taking part in our pirate treasure hunt.

Youth Group

Mondays at 4.30pm, for young people aged 12-17, Youth Group is designed for those wanting to give water sports a go for the first time, for people visiting Stranraer on holiday and for regulars to build and develop new skills.
